This information will be sent out of the office for processing, and there will be additional processing fees to obtain a report for utilization in creating a personalized Neurofeedback protocol. This is not required to do Neurofeedback. Fees for processing are at the sole discretion of the processing provider, and are subject to change without notice. What is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is also known as brainwave biofeedback, EEG biofeedback, and Neurotherapy. It is non-invasive. EEG paste is used to attach electrodes to various locations on the scalp and training is performed using several available options for audio and visual feedback.
It is a learning process, with the assistance of a trained clinician and the EEG interface, the brain learns to re-regulate itself, thereby optimizing one’s mental, physical, and spiritual well being. The brain teaches itself, guided by the positive reinforcement, to better regulate itself.
While more traditional forms of biofeedback are used to teach people skills only applicable in specific situations (i.e. learning to decrease autonomic arousal during a panic attack); the goal of EEG biofeedback is to retrain the brain and reinforce a better regulated state all of the time.
During a Neurofeedback session, the individual engages in an activity while the brain waves are monitored in real-time. The EEG signals are processed and provide feedback in the form of audio or visual cues. The goal of Neurofeedback is to help individuals become more aware of their brainwave patterns and learn to self-regulate them. Through repetitive training and reinforcement, the brain is encouraged to produce desired patterns leading to positive changes in cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. EEG biofeedback has been used to address various conditions including attention issues, anxiety, sleep problems, depression, migraines, seizures, concussion recovery, and more!

Chapter 3- Story 6
Haunted By Chaos; How Neurofeedback, Faith and Family Brought Grayson Back from the Brink
For me, it all began after my 30th birthday. My twin was complaining of a migraine (not unusual for us), but it never stopped. Turns out it was bacterial meningitis, and I was told her brain herniated and she would not live. But to everyone’s surprise, she did live, and was not the person that I had known my whole life…and I needed her back.
Luckily, I landed at the University of Kansas Hospital’s Integrative Medicine Clinic. I earned my BCIA certification in Neurofeedback utilizing Thought Technology’s Neurofeedback equipment/software. My sister waited a year, worked herself off of the huge amount of meds that she was put on, and we began Neurofeedback! Through her want and dedication, she began sleeping (a game changer), eventually started on an exercise bike, and slowly but surely my person came back to me!! Getting her back as I knew her sealed the deal, Neurofeedback was it for me. I worked there for 10 wonderful years, until sadly the clinic closed.
From there, I began with Midwest Neurofeedback utilizing EEGer’s Neurofeedback equipment/software. I learned a lot, and added several devices such as; the Vielight and the Pulsetto, both are very valuable- especially combined with Neurofeedback! I was there for 7+ years until it’s recent restructuring, sparking me going out on my own! I am also working with a company locally that does medical EEG’s, and I plan to continue splitting my time between both worlds and continuing my journey!
Because of my sister brain injury is a passion of mine, and not leaving anyone feeling helpless is my ultimate goal! My hope is to provide a more cost friendly option and the opportunity for others to benefit as I have!
